Shizuki is one month old

It's February, and our baby girl is one month old. We are supposed to celebrate 'One Month Old', but Mommy is not still well. She looks getting better, and pain at her lower tummy is getting weaker. At least no sharp pain now. So until she gets recovered completely, we can't do celebration. What we can do is to video her first smile. She sometimes smiles, and her smile dimples her cheek - very cute (笑うとえくぼができる）.

Next time I will upload her first smiling video clip.

Tetsushi's toilet training is still not complete. He can make poo at toilet after breakfast, but other time unless we remind him, he often makes poo in his pants. Still he needs training,

New Backpac - Pikachu

Tetsushi's recovery from the operation is incrediblly fast. He's very active again, but until next Tuesday he's not allowed to attend the creche. So he has to stay with mummy all days - poor mummy! He's so agile as a kitten and she can't catch him...

He got a new backpac from Obachan. The character is Pikachu. He loves this bag, and carries it all the time even at home. We can put his nappy so it's very handy. This photo was taken at River Park where we can enjoy wathing many birds in big bird cages.

Now his English is pretty good, and when papa drives, he keeps saying, 'Papa! Be carefull, Another Car!'. He certainly enjoys driving.

Our dream - Tetsushi plays the pinao and enjoys music as indispensable parts of his life - like PAPA.

I found an interesting video. Hopefully he can be better than this cat!!! Of course....

Barbapapa!

We got a new picture book from OBAACHAN (おばあちゃん）. It's another Barbapapa book, in which Barbapapa goes to find his partner, Barbamama. Tetsushi liked this book instantly, and I had to read this book five time last night. he likes バーバモジャ（Barbabeau) more than anyone. He laughs loud when he hears モジャモジャ. He's a very hairy barba and he is an artist.

Japanese language is very rich in onomatopoeia, and every time he hears this kind of sound, he's so happy. ごぼごぼ、ばちゃばちゃ、どんどんetc.

At Campus creche, he can make pee when they use a potty. Maybe to resume toilet training, we might have to buy a new potty. The second baby is also coming. It will be useful, but he's such a big boy but back to potty??? He doesn't want to go to toilet

Big One!

It's August, and Hamilton's getting a little bit warmer at daytime, but the spring hasn't come yet totally. Once it gets warmer, we can resume toilet training. Tetushi is growing - I see some changes.

One of his recent favourite words is 'Big One!'. He liked 'small' before, but now if we say, it's small, we correct it with 'Big One'. he want a big piece of kiwi fruit, a big cookie, a big spoon yoghurt etc. Is he simply greedy???

he still likes Anpanman, but he watched his DVDs too many times. His favourite is still 'ITAINO TONDEKE DAKE - Pain, Goaway, Mushroom'. He likes '真っ暗' - in this episode, Baikinman and Anpanman go deep into a cave where it's all dark.

These days he listens to us quite well, but when he doesn't want to listen to me, he calls MAMA!, and vice varsa. No more daddy boy!?

Baby Countdown Counter

Our second baby is due 16 January 2010. I set the counter on the right hand pane. It shows 181 days to go as today.

Also we found a very good midwife, who's got over 30 years experience of child delivery in many countries. Hopefully this time we will have a better child birth.

Tetsushi Spreading Germs

Tetsushi got cold from Creche, and he stared terrible runy nose and couging. First mama got cold from him, but she can't have any medicine because of little one in her tommy.

AT Sunday night, he couldn't sleep well, and he woke up Mama and Papa every hour, and yelled 'あっち行く、あっち行く' (Iwant to go there). He wanted to go to the lounge to play and wacth Anpanman. It's 1 o'clock in the morning! He had medicine, but didn't work. Mama was down, and to let her sleep quietly, Papa and baby went to the lounge and slept there... (We used sofa bed). His breathing became funny too. And we started using Ventolin and it looks like it worked well (he doesn't have asthma though).

Now it's Tuesday, and Papa got cold, and his throat is painful. When he's sick, he has always mucus. It's aweful. But now Tetushi is better. When he's sick, all families are sick... Good greif!

Mama is still sick... and papa having a throat candy. Poor parents.

Don't know! = Don't! No!

Tetsushi speaks Japanese when he talks with PAPA, and Chinese with MAMA. These days, thanks to long hours at Creche, he learned lots of English words. One of words he speaks very often is 'Don't know' - it should be a shorter form of 'I don't know', but for him, it means 'I hate it! (キッライ). When reading his baby bird book, at the point a naughty black crow appears, he starts shouting 'Don't know! Don't know!' Where does he mean 'I hate you!' by that?

His Favourite book

As a great reader, Tetsushi has many favourite picture books. We always borrow from Education Library of the University. The most recent favourite is "Molly and the Night Monster"

Molly wakes up at mdnight and she hears a sound from downstairs... and what comes?
He loves the word 'まっくら (all dark)' and when reading, he keep saying it's all dark, it's all dark, and he loves seeing different animals at every pages, and most of all, the last cuddle with mummy. It's a nice book, but I read this book a few times a day... That's what Tetsushi does. He just stciks to one book or one toy and plays with it all day. By PAPA

Scanned!

We went to Ultrasound Scanning on Monday, and we saw our second baby. The baby is only 6.67 cm tall. Here is the photo. Can you guess which is the head? To date the baby is perfectly normal. I hope the baby grows bigger and bigger, and we can meet in January 2010.

Tetsushi's favourite saying

These days Tetsushi speaks quite meaningful words. He instantly copies Papa and Mama's words, but definitely he has some favourites. When playing he always says - おもしろいなあ(It's fun!), and it's very cute.

He still wakes up at 6:00 a.m. every morning regularly, and watch ANPANMAN for 30 minutes.　His recent favourite is Naganegiman (Spring Onion Man), and when he says, ネギー！, he laughs too much, and when Baikinman attachs innocent people (tries to steal food), he says キッライ、キ・ラーイ（I hate you!). Anyway, Anmanpan is still his favourite hero.

NZ is too wet these days. Instead it's getting warmer (and more humid).
