帝王切開 １月８日（金）

お腹の子供（詩月）の誕生日が決まりました。産婦人科医の勧めに従い、帝王切開の手術を１月８日（金曜日）に媛媛は受けます。痔を悪くしないことを最優先したゆえの決断です。当日は中国人の友達に、中国語しか離せないおばあちゃんと徹至の送り迎えをしてもらうことになったので大丈夫。徹至は一日保育所にいれば大丈夫。ただ忙しくなるので食事の準備を前もってしておかないと。

7 sleeps before Xmas

It's nearly Xmas. Tetsushi had a Chrsitmas party at Creche, and his Creche will close on 18th as Papa finishes his job. University is on holiday for two weeks till 5th January. Lots of counting things... Shizuki is coming in one month.

This blog can't be accessed from mainland China because of Google and Chinese Government contract (censorship!), so this blog has only very few readers. Next year we will set up another blog based in mainland China, and Mummy's friends in China will be able to read our blog.

Back to creche

Tekkun is recovered from Chicken pox although he still has few scabs on his head. He was happy to go back to creche on this Tuesday. His sleeping timetable goes back to before (he sleeps at about 9:30pm and wakes up at about 6am). When he was staying at home, he normally slept after 10pm and woke up at about 7am. He still doesn't like to be changed when he makes pee and poo at home.

We're off to look for Aliens

Tetsushi's new favourite book - he likes Aliens! In this book, he can find lots of different colour and shapes of aliens. He doesn't rally appreciate the story, but still enjoys seeing funny pictures. How come aliens have so many eyes???

Crab and Monky Tale

Now Tetsushi's favourite picture book is an old classic - a tale of Poor Crab and Bad Monky. Our copy is published in 1968, it's before papa was born so this must be Obachan's book.

Anyway, he loves a seed of Persemon becomes big, and bears fruits, and becomes ripe, and then baby crabs go to revenge the bad monky with Chestnut, Poo, USU, and wooden stick. Yes, it's a great stroy.

However, these days he doesn't watch Anpanman at all. Every morning we watch Totoro - why??? Poor Anpanman. He doesn't sing Anpanman March. Did he get bored about Anpanman?

Chickenpox Boy!

It's one week since Tetsushi caught Chickenpox. However his blisters are getting dry, and forming scabs. Thanks to anti-biotic, his pimple-like blisters didn't get too big. He often feels itchy, but not it seems not too bad. We put calamine lotion (it's white) so he feels better. His skins look so poor - face, back, legs, tummy... Hopefully he doesn't get any more new ones. If old ones got dried up, and came off, he can go back to Creche. Poor Tetsushi!

Chickenpox

Tetsushi contracted with Chickenpox. he got virus from someone at Creche. There are several kids like Tetsushi at Creche now. Many say you have to have it once in your life, so it is good for Tetsushi to have it now, but he cannot go outside for next two weeks, including Creche.

Parents got virus too. It seems we have immunity from chickenpox but we are not 100% sure so Mummy who has next baby Shizuki did another booldtest to check. We feel very tired, and weak like having cold. Papa was very tired Monday, and now Mummy is down. How can we survive? We don't have any helpers here... Our midwife Clare said it's warm, and it's a Chickenpox season. It is aweful.

Also we are fighting with our naighbour who makes crazily loud music. We call Hamilton City Council's Noise Control every day. Hopefully the council helps us to stop the neighbour's beat music. They play it at their garage every day, which is very close to our bedrooms. We had bad neighbour at old house, and now again. There are so many low quality people who don't care about others. If you get angry at them, anger lowers yourself to their low level. It's not worth getting angry, but how about the noise??? Life is tough...

Hamilton Garden

It's Summer, and we enjoyed a nice summer day at Hamilton Gardern. At new Kitchen Gardern, we saw lots of scarecrows, but he didn't want to walk, and he cried so much when we told him to walk. When can he be more independent???

OOOPS!

Now Tetsushi loves doing something always by himself, but he actually cannot. So it's hard to control him. He's willing to do anything, and if we don't let him to do so, he becomes crazy. He needs to learn how to control him.

He loves saying OOOPS! Most of his exclamation words are in English. He learns heaps at Creche

Beach holiday

On this monday, which was labour holiday, we went to Raglan beach for a short holiday. It only took about 40 mintues to get there. However, when we arrived at Raglan, the weather was not so sunny like Hamilton. But there were so many people on the beach. Tekkn enjoyed playing with sand and beach water. He was so happy to have a picnic outside and ate a lot at lunch time. We stayed at beach about 2 hours and left there at 1pm. He slept for 40 mintues in the car when we drove back to Hamilton and woke up suddenly when we stopped the car at PaknSave. Since that time, he became very grimmpy and he cried a lot. We thought he could sleep again after we arrived home. Unfortunetly, he didn't sleep at all and was upset so much. Mummy picked him up from the bed after 3pm and he became very happy again.

Nightmare for us: 熱失神 (hest syncope)

Last saturday, we went to Pluncket's"Baby Gear Sale", where we bought some clothes for the new baby and few toys for Tetsushi.

It was very hot on that day. Tekkun wasn't so happy to be there and he asked papa to carry him all the time. But after he had bread, he became active again. When mum was checking clothes, he was looking at the blinds, which is on sale on the floor and he was playing with it. However, 1 mintue later, he suddenly lost himself and fainted. Papa came to pick him up from the floor, he was unconcious. We called his name and he slowly woke up. We really didn't know what happened and how it happened. He just stopped breathing for some time. We were scared by him. He lost himself, and we thought he was dead. Fourtuntely, he opened his eyes and cried in a small voice. We took him to see a doctor straight away. The doctor didn't find any problems from him. According to our guessing, maybe he got summer heat and faint. Now he is a healthy boy again. But mummy is still thinking that thing all the time since last saturday and she is scared too much.

Where the wild things are

Tetsushi's new favourite book is a great classic, "Where the wild things are 怪獣たちのいるところ". Papa loves this book too since he was small, but now heard a news about this book. It becomes a Hollywood movie.

At first, maybe six months ago, Tetsushi didn't show any interest in this book, but now he's a bigger boy, and he loves monsters and dinnsaurs, but sometimes when he sees something you doesn't like, he says '怖い～(I'm scared)’, and he escapes.

He also loves a Robot which Baikinman uses. It's called "Dadandan だだんだん".

He likes playing with it - made by blocks.
He likes everythings boys like. Cars, Trains, Robots, Dinosaurs and Monsters. He's really getting a boy.

One week from the operation

Today we went to GP Joann at Radius Clinic. His scar is being healed well, and no problem. Next Thursday we go to Waikato hospital for final check. He can go back to Creche tomorrow, but he was home for one week. Can he be okay tomorrow? Maybe he doens't want to stay there all day???

Still rainy day! Our new gates' undercoat painting is coming off. We must work asap, but this weather prevents us from painting... Awful spring rain!

This week Tetsushi is staying home with mummy. He can't go to Campus Creche, but he's enjoying his time. This is a video from last weekend.

New Backpac - Pikachu

Tetsushi's recovery from the operation is incrediblly fast. He's very active again, but until next Tuesday he's not allowed to attend the creche. So he has to stay with mummy all days - poor mummy! He's so agile as a kitten and she can't catch him...

He got a new backpac from Obachan. The character is Pikachu. He loves this bag, and carries it all the time even at home. We can put his nappy so it's very handy. This photo was taken at River Park where we can enjoy wathing many birds in big bird cages.

Now his English is pretty good, and when papa drives, he keeps saying, 'Papa! Be carefull, Another Car!'. He certainly enjoys driving.

Operation day: Inguinal Herniotomy ＋Scrotal Orchidopexy(鼠蹊ヘルニア切除と精巣固定手術)

Tekkun finally did his testicle's operation yesterday. We arrived at the hospital at 12:20pm and waited for few hours until 3:50pm he was taken to the theatre. He couldn't eat and drink anything from 7:30am, except little water until 11:30am. We had lunch while we were waiting.

However, Tekkun couldn't have anything. He played well by himself. He slept at 2:15pm for a nap. When the doctors took him to the theatre, he woke up. Papa went to the inside of the theatre with him. He cried a lot. Doctors put gas on him and about 30 seconds later he became drowsy and fell into sleep. Papa came out from the theatre and we waited at the wating room for about 50 mintues. He was crying when a dotor took him out from the theatre. He was shouting and crying for aobut 10 mintues. It was very hard to hold and control him. He was upset too much. He finally calm down when we gave him pieces of pineapple. He ate cooked mushroom and cookies as well. About 5:15pm, he slept again because his body needed recovering time. We waited until 6pm. The nurse did checking for him and made sure he was safe to go home. We came back home at nearly 7pm. It was a long day for all of us. He just sticked on Papa or Mama, and couldn't be alone. He could eat some dinner. We gave him pamol as well for pain relief. He woke up few times at that night. He can't go to creche this week. We will take him for one week checking next Monday.

good boy

Tekkun is a very good boy these days. He is quite obedient and likes singing so much. However, he still wakes up often almost every night and get up at about 6am in the early morning. None of us could sleep well. It makes us very exhauseted. The toilet training is still going on. He knows where the pee and poo comes from but he doesn't tell us after he made it.

He is going to have an operation for texcial next monday. Poor boy. We hope he won't have so much troubles after the operation and he can get well soon.

New trike （トーマスの三輪車）

Tetsushi got a new trike. Because he loves outdoor activities so much, it's essential for him to have something like this, but he cannot ride it on properly...



He needs more practice. Thomas the tank engine is still his favourite. He never release it even when he's playing outside.

Thomas the Tank Engine - Percy

Last week Tetsushi went to Toy World, and found a green train, a friend of Thomas, and he wanted to have that one, and he didn't want to leave the shop without it. We forced him to come home, and he cried too much. After he came home, he kept talking about the green train so we promised to buy that the following Saturday, and he learned a new word - 今度緑のトーマス買う（next time I will buy a green Thomas). So finally we bought PERCY.

Percy's Number is No.6. Tetsushi keeps talking about No.6 now. He always holds blue Thomas, and green Percy in his both hands, and playing alone for a long time. A new toy makes a good trick - he doesn't need us when he's got something new.

Also, now he has a trike - Thomas the tank engine designe. However, he can't really ride on it. We need to push the trike with the support bar attached to the back of it. But it's better than carrying him when we go to Raymond Park. He enjoys going out with his trike. We hope he becomes able to ride on it by himself very soon.

Our baby girl's Name is 詩月(しづき）. Hasn't she got a high nose like Papa?

Baby girl is coming soon

My husband and I went to scanning (ultrasound) the baby together yesterday. The baby is growing very well. We did checking for the baby's brain, the spine, and the heart. The baby was very active and moved a lot at that time. At the end, we found out the gender of the baby----"GIRL". We are so happy to hear that, becasue we have had a boy already and Tetsushi will have a little sisiter to play with later. She is a very active and powerful baby girl so far.

Good boy

Tetsushi is a very good boy since he is recovered from his sickness. He doesn't shout and cry too much when we clean up his face and change his clothes. He likes hearing "you are a very good boy" very much and becomes so happy. He also likes singing and he sings all the time by himself. His song is making sensence. His appetite comes back as well. He is getting mature now.

It's September - Spring???

It was warmer in the last few days, but it got colder again today. I guess spring is near, but it has not fully arrived here.

We got a parcel from Obachan, in which there are lots of treasures. Tetsushi got a new DVD (Japanese fairy tales) and puzzle cards (if you join two cards, it becomes an animal). The photo shows how he plays with it - click the photo to enlarge it. Elephant is his favourite. he's holding it in his hand.

Magic Word!

Still Tetsushi doesn't listen to us well so we decided to use a 'classic' timeout trick. Every time we's naughty, we say we are going to take dark place - a corner of lounge - which I did once - and he suddenly chnages his attitude. His face becomes stern, and serious. Then he changes his close and nappy without shouting and yelling! It's like a miracle. It's not very good to scare him all the time, but it is necessary for him to learn discipline. He is scared to hear "部屋の隅、真っ暗くら".

His cold is almost gone, although he's got runny nose, and generally his condition is fine. he eats well, with our spoon feeding, and he plays well. He's happy to go to toilet for pee. He sits on Poo-san. He loves singing now. He can sing songs together if we sing a song. He likes Sparrow song 小燕子(chinese), Anpanman Marchアンパンマンマーチ, Omocha no chachacha おもちゃのチャチャチャ(Japanese) etc. Next time we will show you a video in which he's singing.





Now the second baby is coming soon, and he often says 'もうすぐお兄ちゃんなる' (soon I'll be a big brother'. He likes touching mummy's swollen tommy. Surely he understands a new baby is there. he's a big boy now.

Our dream - Tetsushi plays the pinao and enjoys music as indispensable parts of his life - like PAPA.

Poor sick boy

Tetsushi got cold since last weekend. He has running nose, and he coughs so much. Maybe he is influnced by our bording student who is sick for nearly 2 weeks and spreading virus to every where in the house. He can't sleep well because of coughing. However, he is still quite happy to go to the creche. He doesn't have appetite and doesn't like drinking milk now. Hopefully he can get well soon. Toilet training successful again.

Since this week, Tetsushi starts to accept to do the toilet training again. We used potty as first. Two days ago, he suddently said "I sit" and we put him on the toilet. Then finally he could make pee successfully again in the toilet. When the weather is warmer, we will train him to make poo in the toilet as well. However, he still doesn't know how to tell us when he wants to make pee.

Tetsushi composed a new song.

Yesterday, Tetsushi was sitting down on the sofa and started to sing a song we don't know. We don't know where he learned such a song. It sounds like a Japanese, but not really correct Japanese. The words of the song are "Mo Ni Na, Ta Ma Ne Gi Man　（も～に～な～、たまねぎまん（ながねぎまん？）" and he repeated it a few times. It is his first song.

Got better

Tetsushi got Conjunctivitis from Creche, and his right eye became very red, but thanks to a new eyedrop we got from his doctor , his eyes are getting better. At first, he said 'Tommy Pain (おなかいたい) , and the doctor diagnosed it's because of infection. Anyway, it's the first time he told us his condition is not good. If he can tell us more about him, it's easier to look after him.

He makes pee in a small plastic container. He doesn't like going to toilet so he decided to do this way. This way we can save nappies, hopefully.

The monster who ate darkness is his another favourite book. He call it '真っ暗モンスター’. This morning he took it to his creche. He always carries with him something.

Barbapapa!

We got a new picture book from OBAACHAN (おばあちゃん）. It's another Barbapapa book, in which Barbapapa goes to find his partner, Barbamama. Tetsushi liked this book instantly, and I had to read this book five time last night. he likes バーバモジャ（Barbabeau) more than anyone. He laughs loud when he hears モジャモジャ. He's a very hairy barba and he is an artist.

Japanese language is very rich in onomatopoeia, and every time he hears this kind of sound, he's so happy. ごぼごぼ、ばちゃばちゃ、どんどんetc.

At Campus creche, he can make pee when they use a potty. Maybe to resume toilet training, we might have to buy a new potty. The second baby is also coming. It will be useful, but he's such a big boy but back to potty??? He doesn't want to go to toilet

Big One!

It's August, and Hamilton's getting a little bit warmer at daytime, but the spring hasn't come yet totally. Once it gets warmer, we can resume toilet training. Tetushi is growing - I see some changes.

One of his recent favourite words is 'Big One!'. He liked 'small' before, but now if we say, it's small, we correct it with 'Big One'. he want a big piece of kiwi fruit, a big cookie, a big spoon yoghurt etc. Is he simply greedy???

he still likes Anpanman, but he watched his DVDs too many times. His favourite is still 'ITAINO TONDEKE DAKE - Pain, Goaway, Mushroom'. He likes '真っ暗' - in this episode, Baikinman and Anpanman go deep into a cave where it's all dark.

These days he listens to us quite well, but when he doesn't want to listen to me, he calls MAMA!, and vice varsa. No more daddy boy!?

Midwife checking

We went to see midwife last week. We heared the baby's heart beating for the first time. It was 148 times per minute. It is slower than Tetsushi's, which was 160 times per minute. My condition and the baby are normal so far. We will meet the midwife again at the end of the month. She will send me to do other scan and we will know the sex of the baby.

He likes staying at Poppets now.

This is the second week to stay at Poppets for Tekkun. He is used to stay there finally without crying. There is a Chinese teather and he likes her so much. He also can make pee in the creche. But he doesn't want to do it at home. His English is getting better as well. His favourite words are" Big One; More, More; Another One".

New start at poppets

Tetsushi's sickness is getting better. He still coughs sometimes. He can sleep much better than last week. However, he still cann't play alone by himself. He picks up books and we have to read for him all the time. From yesterday, he started to stay at Poppets. He cried a lot in the morning when Papa droped him because he wanted to go the Teenees. He is not used to stay there at the moment even he has been transfered for few times during the last few weeks. Maybe he will take few weeks to get used to stay there.

Yesterday, Tetsushi couldn't be found when Papa went to pick him up. The reason was that he was feeding a rubbit at Pre-school with a chinese teacher. Nobody knew he was there. Teachers' communication was not clear enough. However, he was so happy to feed the rubbit.

Mother group meeting

I went to "Music Class" today with a friend without Tekkun at Hillcrest Church. There were so many children and mums. Most of them were Asian (Chinese) mothers. It was the first time for me to go there. I met some mothers I have already knew them before. It was good to talk with them. Everybody had morning tea together in the hall.

Today's weather was strange. Suddenly heavy rain came and stopped so many time. But at the moment (late afternoon), it is very warm. It looks like spring will come soon. Maybe the coldest weather is already gone.

Baby Countdown Counter

Our second baby is due 16 January 2010. I set the counter on the right hand pane. It shows 181 days to go as today.

Also we found a very good midwife, who's got over 30 years experience of child delivery in many countries. Hopefully this time we will have a better child birth.

Tetsushi Spreading Germs

Tetsushi got cold from Creche, and he stared terrible runy nose and couging. First mama got cold from him, but she can't have any medicine because of little one in her tommy.

AT Sunday night, he couldn't sleep well, and he woke up Mama and Papa every hour, and yelled 'あっち行く、あっち行く' (Iwant to go there). He wanted to go to the lounge to play and wacth Anpanman. It's 1 o'clock in the morning! He had medicine, but didn't work. Mama was down, and to let her sleep quietly, Papa and baby went to the lounge and slept there... (We used sofa bed). His breathing became funny too. And we started using Ventolin and it looks like it worked well (he doesn't have asthma though).

Now it's Tuesday, and Papa got cold, and his throat is painful. When he's sick, he has always mucus. It's aweful. But now Tetushi is better. When he's sick, all families are sick... Good greif!

Mama is still sick... and papa having a throat candy. Poor parents.

Don't know! = Don't! No!

Tetsushi speaks Japanese when he talks with PAPA, and Chinese with MAMA. These days, thanks to long hours at Creche, he learned lots of English words. One of words he speaks very often is 'Don't know' - it should be a shorter form of 'I don't know', but for him, it means 'I hate it! (キッライ). When reading his baby bird book, at the point a naughty black crow appears, he starts shouting 'Don't know! Don't know!' Where does he mean 'I hate you!' by that?
... don't know...

Tekkun is a good helper.

From a shoe shelf, Tetsushi can take shoes for PAPA and MAMA now. He also likes helping cleaning. When I clean up the kichen floor, he takes a dust pan with him to pick up rubbish and then dump it to the rubbish bin. Although he can't put all rubbishes he picked up into the bin, he is very happy to do it (we have to clean up later...).

His Favourite book

As a great reader, Tetsushi has many favourite picture books. We always borrow from Education Library of the University. The most recent favourite is "Molly and the Night Monster"

Molly wakes up at mdnight and she hears a sound from downstairs... and what comes?
He loves the word 'まっくら (all dark)' and when reading, he keep saying it's all dark, it's all dark, and he loves seeing different animals at every pages, and most of all, the last cuddle with mummy. It's a nice book, but I read this book a few times a day... That's what Tetsushi does. He just stciks to one book or one toy and plays with it all day. By PAPA

我们解放了.

我家的HOMESTAY 女孩终于搬走了.虽然她只在这住了短短的2周不过我觉得我和老公都身心疲惫.每天都想给她做什么好吃的让她开心.可是她也好象没什么反应. 她是属于在家从没做过事情的孩子,已经19岁了,但是一点生活常识和为人出事的经验都不知道. 我们尽力去教她, 就象父母一样,可是她也不知道感激.也好象不是很听的进去. 现在的孩子都被宠坏了.所以通过这件事, 我们下定决心一定要从小培养教育TETSUSHI独立,让他做力所能及的事情. 否则以后他什么都不会.我们就要急死了. 到了那个时候再教, 就全晚了.

We went to Ultrasound Scanning on Monday, and we saw our second baby. The baby is only 6.67 cm tall. Here is the photo. Can you guess which is the head? To date the baby is perfectly normal. I hope the baby grows bigger and bigger, and we can meet in January 2010.

Tekkun is a good boy.

Tekkun is quite close to me these days. He can let me wash his hands, change clothes and read books. He also says MAMA a lot more than ever. He is a mature boy now. However, his toilet training is not in progress. He is going to Poppet group from the end of this month. He went there one hour yesterday. Tetsushi's creche's teacher said he enjoyed staying there and watching a gold fish happily. There are no Chinese teachers in that group. He is going to lose his favourite Chinese teacher -Michelle soon.

Tetsushi's favourite saying

These days Tetsushi speaks quite meaningful words. He instantly copies Papa and Mama's words, but definitely he has some favourites. When playing he always says - おもしろいなあ(It's fun!), and it's very cute.

He still wakes up at 6:00 a.m. every morning regularly, and watch ANPANMAN for 30 minutes.　His recent favourite is Naganegiman (Spring Onion Man), and when he says, ネギー！, he laughs too much, and when Baikinman attachs innocent people (tries to steal food), he says キッライ、キ・ラーイ（I hate you!). Anyway, Anmanpan is still his favourite hero.

NZ is too wet these days. Instead it's getting warmer (and more humid).

Warm day

Today is a sunny day finally. Outside is so bright and warm. My friend called me this morning. We did chating on the phone for long time. She talked about her preganancy to me. Her baby is due in September and she is going to have a baby boy. For us, we really really want to have a girl so Tetsushi can have a little sister to play with. Can it be a girl this time?

Tetsushi的语言天分

Tetsushi 现在学会说" 不要 ” 如果我说亲亲脸蛋行吗，他说“不要亲亲脸蛋”。 然后他会说，“亲亲鼻子 ”。 很好玩的。 他最大的爱好到目前为止还是看书。如果他看到他不喜欢的那一页，他会躲到你背后，看到他喜欢的，再从你的背后出来。 现在他的三国语言已经说得很清楚了。他也很清楚的知道对什么人说哪国的话。一点不混乱。 只可惜，有时候我还要让他爸爸给我翻译他在说的什么。他爸爸当然也会问我同样的问题。他现在也可以用毛利语数数。（也就能数几个数字）。

Pregnancy problem

This second pregnancy has lots of troubles so far. I had blocked ears when I was pregnant first time and I have suffered for nearly 10 month. It was a horrible feeling. This sympton comes back to me recently. I can feel my both ears are not normal. It is a very rare pregnancy problem that I am having. Am I still very unlucky this time?

I have made an appointment for my scan. I will see if the baby grows well or not next monday.

A sad news

I called China today. My father told me that my grandpa passed away last saturday. It was a shocking news for me because my father just tole me few days ago that my grandpa's health condition was quite good. However, this thing just happend so quickly. I was sad when I heared it. But I also felt a big relief for my gramdpa because he was on the bed for 15 years. He released himself from the sickness finally.

I went to see my midwife today. She did normal checking for me. It was quick. I won't see her until August. I hope I will have a good month in July. Tetsushi is getting a good boy. He doesn't become against me too much like before. I felt much better.

Today is raining again. It continues 4 days since last friday. We have a homestay student last weekend.

Hamilton is so cold this year. Today's temperature is only 3 degree. It is the coldest winter I ever have sicne I came to NZ.
